Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham Review

This 5 issue series is full of action, ridiculously jokes, and breaking of the fourth wall. It has it all. This was a fun series to read. The last issue got delayed, so I was super excited when it finally was released. Check out my review of this zany comic series on YouTube or read down below.

Spider Ham 1

Writer:  Zeb Wells

Artist:  Will Robson

Colorist:  Erick Arciniega

Letterer:  VC’s Joe Caramagna

Spider-Ham’s world is under attack by the Doomsday Device. He jumps dimensions to get the help of Spider-Man.  Peter Parker is just so thrilled to be roped into another zany adventure. They jump through different era’s in Spider-Ham’s world’s history. Each time they jump, Spider-Ham changes to match the time. This is all in the pursuit of discovering the identity of the person responsible for the Doomsday Device.

Writer and Artist

The artist does a great job of changing his styles to fit the different era of time that Spider-Man and Spider-Ham jump to. The story is funny and I love the surprise twist at the end of issue 4 with the sudden appearance of a new villain.

I really enjoyed this series. It made me laugh and it had an interesting story. I liked the funny jokes and the fourth wall breaks. My favorite was when they jumped into a 1940s style looking era and Spider-Ham pulls out a giant hammer. So funny. I rated this series 3.5 stars. I felt like the last issue wasn’t as strong as the previous issues. Overall, I enjoyed it and it made me laugh. If you enjoy ridiculous humor, then you will enjoy this series.
